The next four years decide
the next forty.

That isn’t pressure. It’s leverage. We’re two college students who just played this game and won—six top-tier admits between us. Now we coach students one-on-one, from seventh grade through senior year. We mark up your essays line by line, help you build extracurriculars that mean something, and map out an application strategy that holds together, the same way we built ours.

Personal statement · Draft 2 sample edit

Ever since I was young, I have always been passionate about helping others.1 The first hearing aid I ever fixed belonged to Mrs. Alvarez, and I fixed it with a paperclip.2 This experience taught me the value of hard work and perseverance.3

Cut it. Admissions officers read this sentence thousands of times a season. Abhi

This is your opening line. Why a paperclip? Nived

Draft 3 opens

“Mrs. Alvarez’s hearing aid died on a Sunday, and the only tool in her kitchen drawer was a paperclip.”

Every word stays the student’s. We ask the questions that find it.

Abhi

I’m studying electrical engineering at Georgia Tech. A lot of people helped me through my own college applications, and I want to pay it forward by helping other students do the same. In my free time, I love reading, playing chess, and following football (go Pats).

I’m studying CS at UC Berkeley. I’ve been tutoring students for most of my life and have always loved it, so helping students with their college applications felt like a natural way to keep going. In my free time, I love playing tennis, doing community service, and taking part in religious activities.

03What we believe

The truth about top colleges.

No mysticism, no “holistic journey” seminar talk. Four things we actually believe, and build everything on.

I

A top school is not the meaning of life.

People build brilliant lives out of state schools every single year. If you hear nothing else from us, hear that first.

II

But the advantage is real. Brutally real.

And it isn’t the lectures. A Harvard lecture covers the same material as your community college. What you’re buying is the room: classmates who start companies, alumni who answer cold emails, the person down the hall who funds your startup in ten years. That network compounds for the rest of your life.

III

Admissions is a craft, not a lottery.

Every year, thousands of perfectly qualified students get rejected for avoidable reasons: flat essays, lazy positioning, a story that never comes together. Talent is rarely the difference. Craft is.

IV

Fresh intel beats faded credentials.

This game changes every cycle. We’re not consultants working from memories of the nineties. We sat where you’re sitting eighteen months ago, and you’ve already seen how that went.

04FAQ

Straight answers.

When should we start?

Whenever you’re ready. We work with students at every stage, from seventh graders choosing their first activities to seniors finishing their last supplemental. There’s something to sharpen at every point along the way.

How do sessions work?

It depends on what you’re after. Some students want structured coaching, where we work with them over time to build their extracurriculars, essays, and overall strategy. Others come to us as things come up: a question, a draft, a decision they’re stuck on. Most land somewhere in between. Either way, we work toward your goals, in the way that suits you.

Essay Review or Application Strategy?

Essay Review is asynchronous. You send a draft, and it comes back with in-line edits, comments, and a written report with clear next steps. Application Strategy is a live conversation about the bigger picture: activities, essays, timing, and where you’re applying. Plenty of students use both.

Who do you work with?

Anyone who wants the help. There’s no application to get in and no minimum GPA. If you’re interested in working with us, we’re in.

Why two students instead of a veteran consultant?

Because the game changed, and we just played it. Much of the industry still sells advice from admissions cycles that no longer exist. Every note we give comes from applications that worked last cycle, not folklore.
